Is it someone’s birthday ? #frenchcurves

Coucou !

C’est l’heure du french curves ! Et celui-là est bien spécial car c’est l’anniversaire de notre challenge préféré !! UN AN déjà que nous nous cogitons les méninges pour trouver de jolis looks en suivant un thème. Un an de pur bonheur, de découverte de nouvelles personnes et d’amitiés naissantes, un an d’inspiration et d’un petit monde grandissant vitesse grand V ! Je ne pourrai jamais trop remercier Gaelle pour cette belle initiative qui nous réunit toutes autour de la mode ! MERCI VANOUE !

Le thème pour ce mois anniversaire est d’incarner un personnage fictif ou réel que nous apprécions. Bon. La première personne qui me soit venu en tête est évidemment Scarlett Ohara. Si tu me lis depuis un moment, tu sais que “Autant en emporte le vent” est mon film préféré ultime ex aequo avec “Chantons sous la pluie” . Mais le travail d’incarnation pour Scarlett était trop énorme et trop coûteux pour le challenge. Puis, une des french curvettes nous a dit que nous pouvions incarner une personne proche de nous, un role modèle. J’ai donc pensé à ma mère et à ma grand-mère et ai crée une robe mixant leur deux styles. Une robe à coupe rétro (maman) en tissu africain (grand-mère). Environ 20 heures de travail plus tard, ma mission était accomplie. Mais vous me connaissez, je ne pouvais pas faire un challenge dans des conditions si easy. Wait for it… Il y a 2 jours, je tombe sur un tissu à pois et ca m’a percuté ! Mais comment j’ai fait pour ne pas y penser plus tôt ???? Je sais qui je vais incarner pour le challenge !! Et voilà ma création. J’y ai passé toute la journée d’hier. NON.STOP. Une coupe inspirée par ma maman et un tissu à pois super connu. Mais la question est, qui suis-je ? Réponse en fin de post.

You know what time is it ? it’s french curves time ! And today is very special becauseit’s the first birthday of our beautiful challenge. ONE YEAR ! Oh gosh… Time goes so fast, it’s crazy…

First of all, I must say that a lot of things changed for me in this period of time. I can’t thank enough Gaelle for her great idea to create this world of inspiration for the French ladies. I was able to get to know some of them better and it’s great to have such a beautiful circle of women all with their stories, sharing the same love for fashion.  

So for this month, the theme is tho embody a person real  of fictional. The first character that came in my mind was Scarlett O’hara. If you read my blog for long time you know “Gone with the wind” is my utlimate favorite movie ex aequo with “Singin in the rain”. But the work for Scarlett was humongous and pricey so I let it go. Then, thanks to the girls, I knew I could choose someone close to me like a role model so I thought to my mom and grandma and i created a dress that is a mix of their 2 fashion sense. A retro cut dress (for my mom side) made in african fabric (for my grand ma side). 20 hours of work later, my challenge was done. But, you know me. I like a good crazy twist. Wait for it… 2 days ago I saw a polka dots fabric and it hit me. OMG ! Why I didn’t think about this sooner ??? I know who I can be for the challenge !! So here is my creation. A retro style dress inspired by my mom and the ultra famous polka dots, but the question is. Who am i ?? Answer at the end of the post…

Je ne pouvais as faire exactement a même robe car ca aurait couté un peu trop pour le challenge. Je suis heureuse de ma petite robe qui me revient à 7€ 🙂 que je pourrai porter tout l’été ! J’ai choisit une autre couleur car le marron faisait trop ton sur ton avec ma peau… // I couldn’t make the exact same dress because it would have been a little pricey for the challenge but I’m planning to do it for a special occasion. I chose another color because with the brown it was too close of my skin color.
